About Re:Present EP

This EP wouldn't have been possible without the help of a lot of amazing and talented people. This is why I've decided to share it for free as a present/gift to all the listeners out there; at the same time, I support all the artists involved.

“Steel Toes ft. Sonik & DeathTone”
Performed by Sonik and DeathTone, it is a hard-vocal song mixed with tons of street energy that merge across genres like Trap, Dubstep or even BigRoom. These well-known local artists are defining the mexican game in Street Rap; this time I paired them up to deliver something heavy and fresh- I had a blast making the track and recording vocals with them.

“Horas (Agua) ft. Naty P”
This song is an intense story by itself. It's an acute social-critic trap-styled track performed by the talented Colombian singer/writer Natalia Purpurina. Being a nomad ain't easy! And Naty can tell you million stories of how she has sorted out difficulties among all kinds of different situations; always to find true people on the road. Before she left México to keep on traveling the world, we worked hard in this track; it was an amazing experience.

“Re:Present the Art”
By the moment I stared at Yakovlev's works on Facebook I felt in love. Mike Yakovlev is the definition of artist; It's not just his ability to create any kind of character, it's more about the way he describes in detail a fantastic new world. The first person I thought for this free EP was Mike, and him being responsible of The Pharaoh EP artwork, I knew he couldn't be out of this one.

Acerca de Re:Present EP

Este EP no habría sido posible sin la ayuda de mucha gente sorprendentemente talentosa. Por esto, he decidido compartirlo de manera gratuita como un presente a todos los escuchas, al mismo tiempo que apoyo a los artistas involucrados en el mismo.

“Steel Toes (ft. Sonik & DeathTone)”
Interpretado por Sonik y DeathTone, esta canción fuerte, mezclada con toneladas de energía directamente de la calle que fusionan géneros como Trap, Dubstep o incluso BigRoom. Este par de reconocidos artistas locales se encuentran definiendo el juego del rap callejero mexicano y decidí juntarlos en esta ocasión para entregar algo agresivo y fresco. Me divertí bastante haciendo la pista así como al grabando las vocales con ellos.

Esta canción es una historia intensa en sí misma. Es un agudo tema social-critico con influencia Trap, interpretado por la escritora y cantante colombiana Natalia Purpurina. ¡Ser nómada no es sencillo! Y Natalia puede contarte un millón de historias de cómo ella ha pasado dificultades en todo tipo de situaciones; siempre para encontrar gente real en el camino. Antes de dejar México para seguir viajando por el mundo, trabajamos duro en esta canción; fue una experiencia increíble.

“Re:Present the Art”
En el momento que me quedé viendo las ilustraciones de Yakovlev en Facebook me enamoré. Mike Yakovlev es la definición de artista; no es solamente su habilidad de crear cualquier tipo de personaje, se trata más de cómo él describe en detalle un nuevo mundo fantástico. La primer persona en la que pensé para este EP gratuito fue Mike, y ya que él es responsable de la portada de The Pharaoh EP, sabía que no podía quedarse fuera de este material.
